"Dogwood in Silver"

6"x6"
Oil on Masonite
$80

To purchase, email me with the title in the subject line.

This piece was done from a silver dogwood ring that belongs to my mother. There is so much color in this little piece, but when viewed from a distance, the colors almost disappear into the total composition.

"Tarnished"

6"x6"
Oil on Mat board
SOLD

In order to get the aged and tarnished look of the silver, as well as to capture the reflections on the surface, I underpainted this piece with yellows, reds and greens. I then laid the gray highlights over the top. I think it worked pretty effectivly.

Oil on Mat board
$80

This is a necklace that my sister gave me several years ago. I was unsure how I was going to approach painting all the beads and links in the chain, but I think the loose highlights produce the effect that I was looking for.

I got this ring several years ago in Prague. It is green amber. I thought about painting several pieces of my jewelry in this one, but I liked the simplicity of this one ring on a black background.

"Lilly"

5 1/2" x 8 1/2"
Pencil on Mat board
SOLD

To purchase, email me with the title in the subject line.

This is the necklace that I wear most days. My aunt gave it to me when I graduated from high school. Both of my sisters have the same necklace. I love that something so small can connect me to so many of the people that are important to me.
