"Jitterbug"

10" x 14"
Oil on Masonite
$150

This piece was done from a still of an old swing film. It is larger than my typical daily paintings, but I still did it in one day, so it has a much looser, more impressionistic feel. I really love the people in the background who, up close are only a few strokes of black and white, but from a distance seem to have a lot of mass. This is one of my favorites so far.

hey emily! i love this picture! i'm sorry i'm just now getting to it... i disconnected my internet at home... the painting is awesome and full of life. even though it's in black and white, i feel like you can sense the color and enthusiasm behind it. i enjoyed all the paintings and i hope to get back and look at them again soon!
